It is important that we open up our state to competition
instead of protecting the semi-monopoly that currently exists
among three insurers.
We need to allow cafeteria plans instead of insisting that
one plan fits all and ensure that pricing and quality metrics
are available to consumers so they can make informed
decisions.
Ideas such as tort reform and tax credits need to be a part
of this discussion.
