To the editor:
I'm excited to have Jan Schneider as a candidate for state representative in District 41B,
which comprises western Bloomington and southern Edina.
Our district and our state need more political leaders willing to take the hard path of
reforming government and looking out for the best interests of taxpayers - instead of the
easy path of simply spending more of our money. I know Jan will fight to reform St. Paul,
because she's done the same in business and in local government.
Jan has worked for nearly 25 years as a business consultant for Fortune 500 companies and
small businesses, promoting improved efficiency and customer service for less cost. Jan
brought that same attitude to her civic service, leading as the chairwoman of the Bloomington
Planning Commission, where she successfully balanced the interests of businesses,
residents and her fellow commission members.
We need more politicians with core personal principles who won't compromise them for the
sake of political expediency. Jan has been steadfast in her principles of being pro-fiscally
responsible, pro-family, and pro-taxpayer, while still working with others of differing views. Jan
knows that standing on principle doesn't mean standing in the way.
Jan Schneider is a real reformer who will change government in St. Paul.
