To the editor:
My husband and I have decided to get involved. We decided to stop complaining and stand
up and do something.
I have to admit, we were nervous. We had never been to a caucus. We always vote, but that
is where our patriotic duty stopped.
Not only did we go to the caucus, but we nominated each other to be a delegate.
A couple of days before the endorsement election, we received the greatest news of the
political year - we had a candidate! Her name is Jan Schneider.
The fact that I am ex-military (served during Desert Storm) and a mother of four, I really do
not have time for idle chit chat.
Every question I threw at Jan, she had a straight-as-an-arrow answer. Here is a person who
listened to me, and we were on the same page. She is ready to fight for us taxpayers. Jan is
ready to work for accountability in government, and control spending.
I worry that my daughters do not have any role models out there. I am proud to tell my girls
about Jan. She has worked hard to run her own company and still have time to work for the
people of Bloomington and Edina.
She has the right principles and the right attitude to get things done. My vote is for Jan and I
hope the hard-working folks in 41B will join me in supporting Jan Schneider - the real
reformer for state representative!
