To the editor:
You may not realize that Jan Schneider was overwhelmingly endorsed as the Republican
candidate for state Representative in 41B. We are very excited about this and know that she
will take the hard path of reforming government and look out for our best interests as
taxpayers instead of the easy path of simply spending more of our money. Jan will fight to
reform St. Paul because she's done the same in business and in local government.
Jan is one of us: a citizen who will bring life and business skills to the table at the Capitol. She
has worked for nearly 25 years as a business consultant for Fortune 500 companies and
small businesses, promoting improved efficiency and customer service for less. Jan brought
that same attitude to her civic service, leading as the chairperson of the Bloomington
Planning Commission where she successfully balanced the interests of businesses,
residents, and her fellow commission members.
We need more politicians with core personal principles who won't compromise them for the
sake of political expediency. Jan has been steadfast in her principles of being pro-fiscally
responsible, pro-family, and pro-taxpayer while still working with others of differing views. Jan
knows that standing on principles doesn't mean standing in the way.
By voting for Jan we can be confident that she will accurately represent us in the Legislature.
