Dear Republican Friend,
Maintained by the Committee to Elect Jan Schneider
Are you tired of watching the DFL push their increasingly
radical, high-tax agenda through St. Paul?  Are you tired
of an inefficient government that spends first and asks
questions later?  And are you tired of giving your
endorsement to Republicans who only give away your
money?

It doesn't have to be this way.  And at our House District
41B endorsing convention this Saturday, March 8th, you
can choose to make a change.

Like you, I've watched as we have sent our Republican
Representative Rep. Neil Peterson with the hopes that
he'll be an advocate for a smarter, smaller and more
accountable government in St. Paul only to see in return
votes for more spending, more unnecessary regulation
and less reform.  From voting for the Twins Stadium tax,
to initially joining only 17 State Representatives in
opposing eminent domain reform, and now voting to
override our Governor's veto to pass a pork-laden $6.6
billion Transportation Bill – the largest tax increase in
Minnesota history – Rep. Neil Peterson has not been an
advocate for government reform, taxpayers, or the
Republican Party.

For nearly 25 years, I have proven my dedication and
ability to accomplish positive results both in business and
government:

  • As an Executive Business Consultant, I've worked
to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of
Fortune 500 companies and small businesses alike,
achieving significant cost savings while increasing
    customer / member satisfaction.

  • While as a former Board member of the
Bloomington Chamber of Commerce and Chair of
    the Bloomington Planning Commission, I
represented and advocated for the needs of
    businesses and taxpayers alike.

  • In serving as the former Chair of Senate District 41
Republicans and later as a State Senate candidate
in 2002, I helped elect our Party's candidates and
advanced our cause of principled conservative
    leadership.

The road back to a majority in the State Legislature may
be long and will certainly be hard.  To do so, Republicans
need accomplished, creative and impassioned advocates
to articulate a positive, reform-oriented agenda in 2008
and beyond.  What we don't need are more
Representatives who accept the DFL's misplaced
priorities of increasing spending with decreased
accountability.  Republicans win when we provide an
alternative – not an adjustment.

I look forward to meeting and speaking with you about the
future of our District and our Republican Party.  I humbly
ask for your vote on March 8th.

Sincerely,

Jan Schneider
